Straight Outta Compton movie download 1080p is the story of the early life of rap group N.W.A. The film recreates their difficult childhoods and how they overcame them to achieve extraordinary things in the world, even up until now as they continue to break into new grounds that challenge society at large. However, it's not just about the story of these artists' lives - it's also about Hollywood trying to downplay how much black people are present in American culture, specifically hip hop. When Ice Cube and Dr. Dre were talking to an executive about whether or not Dr. Dre's music should be played in the background of a scene in a movie, he responds with: "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know what you're doing out there [in California]. It's like you guys are inventing music, like somebody else is creating stories and writing them down and somebody else is making movies and somebody else is ..." "[Ice Cube responds] You mean we ain't created nothing?" "No, no I didn't mean that. I just, I mean..." "Well what do you mean?" "I thought you guys were more like hobbyists or collectors or something." "And you don't think we are?" "I didn't know you were this serious about it." This scene illustrates the clear divide between black culture and white culture. The subtle implication of what the executive is trying to say is that rappers are not only telling fictional stories, but they are trying to take credit for things that have already being made, especially by white people. It's the perpetuation of an oversimplified narrative that creates animosity against hip hop - even long after N.W.A's initial breakthrough in 1988. The executive's words are contradictory. He says that black people are creating music at the same time he says that they're just collecting music. It's a statement made to purposefully undercut N.W.A and Dr. Dre because Dr. Dre and Ice Cube were supposed to be in the movie, but when Dr. Dre and Ice Cube found out that the studio was going to downplay their contributions, they decided not to appear in the film and let Eazy-E and MC Ren take their place instead. The constant pushback against black culture is what forced N.W. A to form the group in the first place. They weren't allowed to do what they wanted simply because of their race. The sequence was originally cut from the film, but it was restored in an updated version that premiered in March 2015. The director gives his explanation of why the sequence was cut right before commercial break: "Don't get me wrong - I think Straight Outta Compton is a great film, but there are certain things I would have done differently. Like I'm not gonna lie, I wish we had more time for the scene with Dr. Dre and the executive, but unfortunately there wasn't enough time to get it all in there. cfa1e77820
